E8400 question

HI all can you tell me if a E8400 will be a good match on my striker extreme MB i will be mostly gameing. If not what will be a sweet proc to get for it .thanks for any help

680i does not support 45nm processors. You'll need a new motherboard.

680i motherboard does support 45nm processors with a BIOS update

Right, the 680i does support them with a bios update. The only 45nm chips they don't support are the quads.

Like said above the 680i supports the Dual Core 45nm.
