Edit-able text

I have some family history documents that I want to scan into my computer and be able to edit the text. Need to correct some names and dates, add a few new members. How do I accomplish this? Thank You; mailliw

Hello:

Sounds like you need a (OCR) Optical Character Recognition Software Program. This is a link to a free one, might be good might not. The really good ones you will have to buy.

And a Word Processor like Microsoft Word or Open Office "Writer" to use with it. That way you can add and delete your names and what not. And proof read after scanning.
