Edit Audio

I am looking for a program, that will let me rip parts of an .mp3 file, and let me keep certain parts, like the music and take out the vocals or something.


Any ideas?

You can do cuts and pastes in Audacity. You can't take out the vocals and stuff though.

Audacity is free and heard it works well. I use Cool Edit Pro which is the predecessor to Adobe Audition.

Audacity can take out the vocals...

you just have to install the LADSPA effect plug-ins from here http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/plugins

and look for the center pan remover...
