editing subtitles

I don't know how to from a DVD, and if you mean say an AVI that has subtitles on it, that's next to impossible. Someone did post a filter that would get rid of them, but only partially(it still leaves some blurred area around where they were and such) If that would work, though, I think it was a filter for virtual dub. You could probably find it on google. If you got that to work, then you could just put the subtitles back into it using something like Windows Movie Maker... I don't know any other free programs capable of that :P

in fact, the movies I have are avi without subtitles. I have the .sub files that I load together with the movie in BSplayer.
So what I really need is a program that makes a "shift" (forward or backward) in the whole subtitles, because in the other programs I know, I must "shift" step by step, phrase by phrase... a lot of work...

Oooh... I see... Well sorry, but I've never worked with such a file. However, it wouldn't be too hard to just manually type them in as I mentioned. Time consuming, but it'd work :P
