what is the diff between non and eec registered memory?
also will ddr2 533mhz pc2-4200 2x512mb be ok with this processor

EEC is for server boards and requires support in most cases (i.e., not for "regular" users)

Has nothig to do with the processor .. what mobo did you say you have? http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/ (the one you listed doesnt exist)

its aa8-duramax
i just used a link from abit website to corsair website and they showed me a list of all compatible memory
