EFI problem

Hi,

I tried to install W8 on a new computer. The hard disk partition did not accept the installation so i changed the EFI-settings. Where exactly i made this change i don't remember, but directly after this change the computer made 3 beeb sounds and shut down. After pushing the start it makes the same 3 beebs. NO SCREEN, NO STARTUP.

I did reset my cmos (jumper as in the manual of my motherboard). I did take out the motherboard battery and put it back in again.
Motherboard:
MSI
H61M-P31/W8

Did i damage something? What can be wrong?

Thanks for your help.

Reset the cmos again, this time unplug power supply, remove cmos battery, press and hold the power button on the case for 10 seconds then wait about 10 minutes. Reinsert battery, reconnect power and try booting up.

from the sounds of it, the 3 beep code on the msi motherboard refers to bad memory. try taking all the ram sticks out, and place just 1 stick in, and try to start the computer. if you still 3 beep code error, then pull it out, and try it in another ram slot, and start again. do this for all the ram slots, and if it still does the same, try a different stick of ram, testing each ram slot with each stick of ram until you find what the issue is. could be a bad ram stick, or a bad ram slot.
