EIST and C1e while overclocking or no?

I've seen a few threads on this, and would love to get some more opinions.

I've got an i7 860 and I've set the base clock manually to 160. I have seen people recommend you TURN OFF EIST and C1e when you do this.

On the other hand, I've seen people say you CAN keep those settings enabled in order to save some power when your CPU is idling.

The debate seems to stem around the BIOS controlling your voltage, and if it's stable to control it when you have a manual clock setting.

Would love to hear what you guys think. Currently I've got them off, but would love some small power savings if it is actually a safe idea to turn them on.

Thanks!

Personally I keep those settings off and then just turn off my computer at night or when i go out for work/school/whatever, unless I'm downloading something. Doesn't need to be on if it's not doing anything :)
