Well... I just bought This RAM for my pc.. i was thinking of the Kingston RAM before that... but that would have cost me 325 euro's new.. this ones cost me 200euro's new.. is it a good deal you think? and especially,.. is the RAM good? 2-3-3-6

well.. like i said,.. i just ordered it, (kind of a no brainer reaction.. :( ) but I really dont know if its good or not now that i think about it. :x
 
yes its VERY good ram. i have i 256mb stick of the same thing. [hey no hard feelings k? i didnt mean anythiung about what i was saying]

Nice tight latencies there, Will be good ram but wouldnt it have been better if you bought some higher bandwidth DDR RAM for OC`in ?
 
i dont think there is a better one for 184pin. you may be thinking about 240pin, which has much more bandwidth
 
Course ya can, crucial do some awesome PC4000 dual channel DDR kits and have even seen higher than that. But thats when it starts getting pricey
 
I wouldn't worry about getting RAM rated for more speed, that should clock up fairly well. You can also drop the timings or adjust the memory divider to push the CPU further.

Atm i have my memory on a divider, but as soon as I put the fsb over 230 it wont boot anymore. ( current ram timings are 3-4-4-8 ) I have to reset the bios in order to get into it again, since it wont do anything then.
the CPU should be able to get clocked higher than that, and also the motherboard certainly should be able to ( wich would only leave the RAM, no? )

also, i would be ok with 2Gb, right? I mean, they should be able to run in 1T setting? (running 2T atm, with 4 dimm's)
 
Yes you should be fine with 2 dimms at 1T.

You're right it would be the RAM holding you back. Have you tried a bigger divider?
 
I think so.. :x Asus made this bios quite complicated. :( I miss my albatron motherboard.. that bios was really simple and straigt on,.. this one is just confusing. ( I'm not at home atm, well.. I'm supposed to work actually :P, so i cant try messing in the BIOS atm)

but,.. would i have to loosen the timings? even if the Memory runs a bit slower/on the same speed as normal? (I don't think so, but I'm not sure)
 
I hit 3ghz with my 4600+ buy dropping the RAM to around 333mhz (PC2700) and uping the FSB still keeping the tight latenices. It was not stable at that so now im sitting around 2.8ghz
Im not saying thats the best way of doing it but it gave my PC a good kick up the ass :P
 
Well you can either do as ghost said or loosen the timings. I've done both, and they both work reasonably well.
 
I think that this is quite a good deal.
Slightly slow for me though, as i have DDR667
Can you overclock your ram?
