Either My Router or my DSL isn't working (Excuse bad grammar)

I need help, I have a problem with my internet. It started around 6-7:00pm. I tried to reset my router and tried to (after unhooking my game system) hook up my internet to my Desktop. I don't know what is happening but I've tried to reset my router and reset my modem. I can't help but sound stupid as I type this, because I really have no idea what's happening. Please, help is needed ASAP.

Ok, iirc, your seeing your network, but not connecting or something on those lines. Have you tried hooking it directly to the modem (assuming your running Time Warner) and see of you get a signal. This would at least narrow it from down to a network or rougher problem.

I will have to try the modem, And yes i'm getting signal from my router. Yes I am running time warner, Our phone is on and we can call out, so i think that kinda rules out something on the modems part.

not necessarily. Ours goes out some times and we just get phone, but the internet goes down. There is a connection that goes out to two stations from the modem. one for digital phone and one to the hub for your internet service.

Just a blind shot in the dark, but have you tries 611 to be sure that there are no reported outages in the stoneville/madison area?
 
No, because i've been arguing with my mom. But I'll try, just text me if something else comes up on here, I'm going to head home.
