EliteGroup - Which CPU???

my old p3 recently gave up the ghost so i decided to build up a more upto date system.

Ive just bought a Elitegroup ECS P4S5A motherboard http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWeb/Products/ProductsDetail.aspx?MenuID=22&LanID=8&DetailID=39&DetailName=CPU%20Support

on the cpu support list it says it supports pentium 4's with fsb of 533mhz but the celerons only list at 400mhz.

would any of these celerons work on this board?

Any celeron that is not a Celeron D will work as celeron D use 533Mhz FSB.
hmmm, they are all celeron d.

someone on another forum has said they will work but only at about 80%.

strange thing is that the board will run standard p4's at 533fsb, why wouldnt a celeron be able to run on this board at 533?

Im actully not sure on that one myself. Anyway the bottom two of the list are not celeron d apparently.

you sure, the 2nd link says Celeron D in the title and description. but the 3rd doesnt say celeron d but runs at 533mhz

Well mate i would have went for LGA775. Theres only one socket that supports 533MHz FSB at the minimum.

I would have looked at a higher spec board but on a budget at the moment (engine went bang in my car :( )

thanks for that, did they ever make any faster ones at say 2.6/2.8/3.0?

I might be able to swap this board for another p4 one, all i know is its made by gigabyte
