Think this is the wrong cat. but I need to restore my ET1161-03 to Vista. I did a clean install of Windows 7, but now I need to revert back to Vista. Only problems are, Alt + F10, F8, etc. dosen't work, my disc drive is broken, and to add on, no recovery disc (I can't boot off usb). Anyone help?

You will need a disk drive (DVD). These can be bought from newegg for around $20.

Next question/issue. Why are you trying to revert? You may be able to fix the windows 7 installation if you are having problems with it. Windows 7 is way more secure than vista.
If you do not want to try to fix it, then you will need to contact emachines inc. to get a recovery kit for it. The average cost these days is about $25 including shipping.

Long story. WAT gone wonky. If I revert, then I'll get assigned an OEM product key and everything will be OK.</imnotsure>

when you go to reinstall with the disk (assuming that you can get one for it), you will need to enter the product key thats somewhere on your computer.

Is this a desktop or laptop?

where did you get windows 7 from? It should have came with the correct product key. Even the upgrade disk have product keys in the package. Digital downloads (legal ones) send you an email with the product key.

"Nope. Any other ideas (besides the CD driver? I'm kind of short on cash right now.) "
