Is your T-series or T 6212 Emachine when bootup have a black window pop up for about 5sec? the window is black and says something CMD then disapear in about less than 5sec.

Is this normal?

When you bought your T-series Emachine fresh..... when bootup does it have:
- black window
- saying something CMD
- disapear in less than 5sec

NO experience with taht computer, but my sister had an eMachines and it was horrible, way too many problems to count so beware.

If the computer boots and works fine then leave it, usually I find fiddling with them seems to bring on a fault. And my family has had 2 eMachines units (one was mine for 4 years and it worked EVERY day without fault) and they're not as bad as you may think. They were way more reliable than this build.

The emachines motherboards DID indeed have bad caps (as do a lot of mobos) but it does not sound like the issue, you can open the case and see if there are any popped or bulging caps. If not then the issue could be with the OS install (which is what it sounds like) but without more info I cannot be sure.

No script can run before passing through the bios, if it dies in 5 seconds like he said then it is most definately not past the BIOS yet or if it is it can't load into windows. You CAN run scripts after the bios but not until the OS has started loading. The problem sounds like it's prolly a corrupt MBR or the like but without additional info it would be hard to tell.

Well I'm guessing by black Window it's contrasting to the rest of the screen and in Windows it says CMD when it's an auto-script being run. I'm only making this on the assumption the system boots though.
