Last week my internet just went out (Time Warner). The cable guy came out and said it was a bad modem and he gave us a new one. Now that I have the new one I'm still getting the same problem comment "local network unplugged" I did a syetm recovery 2x with no effect. Any assisatnce would be appreciated. Thanks

To awnser the original question, do the follwing:

Start>right click on my computer>properties>hardware tab>device manager

Are there any yellow question marks anywere?

And welcome to the Forums!

joeswm8 - The problem is not with the service, but with the network itself. The information has nothing to do with the question. Posts are removed or edited.

I also moved the thread. Sorry for any confusion :o

As for the question, do you have link lights on either the computer's network port or on the modem(or router if you're using one) I suspect a bad network card or cable...

that happens to me too

i just unplug the modem and its power, to let all the stuff reset, then I go into network settings, plug everything back in, and repair the network once its in.

if that doesnt work than call your company, thats the other thing that works for me
