email problems with movie film maker

I've received a mail that was supposed to contain a .wmv clip. Because the clip was too big, it was cut in pieces. I was told they used movie film maker, a standard windows xp feature.
When I opened the mail, I found a enormous (really enormous) amount of letters, numbers and the like. Is there something I can do with this?

Did you download the attachments, then open it with windows media player...sounds like you opened the movie clip in notepad or sumtin.
 
No, there is no attachment. In the mail itself you find the enormous amount of numbers and letters.

You cant do anything with this numbers and letters. They need to send you the file as an attachment
