email program (OE or other)

I am using outlook express and it has gotten very slow to open up. First when I click the OE icon in my taskbar it opens up my AIM client to ask me to log in, which I close, then it goes to a OE screen which is white and unresponsive and asks me to login to AIM again and then finally goes into OE. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this or if there is another (preferably free) option I could use to read my emails?

anyway... if u want a good mail app u should try incredimail, nice, good looking simple emai client.
thunderberd is good but if u r not a native english user it might give u some hard time.
