Good morning to all,

Is it possible to find out if different emails, supposedly from different people, are just that and not from the same person. is there anything that normal mortals like me, i.e. reasonably computer literate but not brilliant, can do to find out.

You can check the headers to see where they are actully coming from.

Other then that, all you can do is look for patterns and common sense.

You mean, is it possible to tell if someone is pretending o be multiple people with multiple emails? No, not really. The only thing you can do is try and look for similarities in writing styles.
