Enabling wireless keyboard in BIOS

i have installed MS Server 2003 as a second OS on my computer. the problem that i run in to is that i use a wireless keyboard and mouse. when i get to the screen to select which OS to boot in to i can't use my keyboard. i can only use it once the OS has booted up.

i've enabled everything dealing with USBs in the BIOS but i don't know if i have the right BIOS version. which brings me to another issue i have totally unrelated to computer accessories.

i tried to update the BIOS with the file from the ASRock website. when i open the file, before it starts to do its thing it gives me this, "Error: Bootblock error". so no go there.

I feel quite sure it's not a wireless problem, but a USB. I know many computers have a problem when booting with USB keyboards, even after setting USB keyboard support and all up in the bios. Try using your keyboard as PS/2 if you have the option.

Strange error you got there. I'm afraid to tell you to try much else because of how easy it is to totally screw up a motherboard by not correctly updating the bios... Is this a windows utility? Is if anything else is offered? Perhaps a dos utility? But again, be VERY careful with anything you do...
