I'm in the process of buying a new computer for both gaming as well as music production.
Video Card:
On the gaming side, I want to play games such as Call of Duty 4, but not one like Crysis (which I hear requires +$1000 in upgrades and actually sucks).
I don't know much about video cards, so I was hoping you all can enlighten to me as to what specifications I should be looking for in terms of a video card.
My friend told me that you shouldn't listen to the amount of video memory, but at the core clock speed. I was just browsing through this site and I found this one with a clock speed of 775.

The computer I want to get has a much lower one around 400, which is the GeForce 8500 GT.
I know its best to look at the system requirements for the game, but I often find that even going a bit higher than the requirements still doesn't quite provide the best gameplay. But if you think the 8500 GT is well enough to handle COD4 then I'd prefer that greatly!
LCD:
Since I'll be handling gaming and music production, I need an LCD screen with a low response time and one that is very large. I'm deciding on LCD screens no smaller than 19" and must be widescreen.
I don't want to go any higher than 5MS. I found this 20" Samsung with 2MS

I also found this 24" with 5MS Acer monitor

COD4 is a high intensive, very fast-paced game, but will 3 MS will make a difference? I'd be willing to go with the extra 2" if that weren't the case.
-Thank you very much for your suggestions
