epson c46 internal clock reset?

just bought dx4000 all in one for my missus so i have her c46 as an extra printer on my system downstairs and it has non genuine cartridges,- thing is i read somewhere that after a while the printer software will inform me that servicing is due and it won't let me print anymore. this is due"apparently" to when the non genuine cartridges are put in and are detected, it starts an internal timer!! it can be reset so i believe but MUST be done before it reaches zero. so does anyone have any ideas or have i got it all wrong

Never heard of this internal timer thing before... I wouldn't worry about it, unless you find more information to the contrary from some other reputable sources... Just keep going with the other cartridges, and you should be fine!
