Epson R310 Problems HELP!!!!

I have an Ep R310 and it has decided to not print there is no red light on, it all seems normal, when i try to print the screen says that the printer is not ready to print to check connections, if I try to reset SSC Utility it says the printer is off???? Can you please tell me what you think may be the problem I have had probs with trojans etc lately my boys have been surfing the net and I think may have picked some thing new up to create new problems for me.......... :(

Any help would be great!:confused:
 
Go in to Start > Printers and Faxes; right-click on the R310 in that window and left-click on Open in that window that appears. That will open a window that displays any print jobs waiting to print. Clear anything out that's in there and then let us know any progress from there...
 
Have you tried unplugging the printer and plugging it back in? Otherwise, you'll probably have to reinstall the drivers...
 
If you're having problems with malware, I would post a Hijack this log in the computer security forum, and then if that doesn't help I would go with DCI's suggestion and reinstall the drivers
 
- Change your USB Printer Cable with new one.
- Try to scan virus or malware, trojan.
- Change the cartridge, may be the chip is broken.

I hope that helpful, if not it is your printer machine IC problem.
