Hello gusy,

I got a problem with epson stylus colour c42 plus printer. I tried everything to print it but it is not pring anyting. I installed the software correctly and restarted it after the connection. I did my best and it is not printing anything. I inserted the paper and it is not printing after i asked to print one document. So I pressed on the power button to turn it off. when i pressed the power button, it printed one blank paper. So that means the printer is working. but still i cant find out what is the problem is. Could you please help me? Thank you.

If you need any more information about this product, please dont hesitate to ask. Thank you.

Could you tell me the exact steps you did to install and configure the printer. Restarting the whole thing may help too.

Thanks,

Chris

Well first of all, we connected the printer and then it connected to computer. after that i inserted the CD to intsall the software and that installed succesfully. i restarted the comuter after the installation. Then I tried to print a document and it is not working. I am not sure how to put the paper into the printer. but i think i got it right. the problem is when i click on the power button once, it prints a blank page. it is not printing what i have gave order to. So do you think you can help me on this problem?

Have you ever tried to optimize windows yourself? If so, go Run>MSCONFIG>Services

And make sure printspooler is checked. It's a long shot but it's happened to me a couple of times.

From what you have told me the only thing i can think is.....

  • Have you set that printer as your default printer?
  • Uninstall and reinstall the whole proces again BUT dont plug anything in until it tells you too.
  • Try a different USB Port

You can try and search for your printer drivers online and download them, they may have been updated.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Chris

sorry. that is already checked. do you have any idea?

If you haven't printed with that printer in a while, the printheads are probably clogged and therefore the printer will probably not print again unless you replace them. And seeing as that's not the best financial way to go, it will probably just be best to buy a new printer. Otherwise you can try doing the clean printhead utility a few times and see if that helps at all. If that doesn't do anything, look into a new printer... :)
