Er, Some really awesome looking linux GUI?

My friend was showing me a video of linux. And it had some amazing GUI with all these awesome graphic options.

What what the name of that linux distro plz.

Also how is linux w/ wireless? (I've never used linux other than a few times though ssh)

It probably wasn't the distro itself. It was probably Compiz-Fusion or Beryl.

Wifi with Linux can either be a breeze or a complete P.I.T.A. It all depends on the wifi card and it's linux compatibility.

Another good point. I rather like Elive and then there are a lot of things I don't like about it.

I'm planning on putting a pc in my car and I was thinking of making it a linux car.

can linux and windows talk to each other, another words can I easily , tirelessly, move an mp3 from my home pc to my car pc?

The only catch with moving the mp3 files to Linux is that you'll have to download the codecs yourself most of the time. It's not hard at all though.

I've been looking at Symphony OS lately. It looks pretty nice at least in terms of eye candy.

Ubuntu with Compiz Fusion is probably the most popular (and what I'm using now). And as for the codecs you do have to download them. You just check the box for the codec in the application manager, and click apply. Not a big deal.
