Erratic YouTube Video Playback

I have an HP Pavilion dv9000, 3gb of memory 320gb of 7200rpm disk. I also have a 6bg cable connection (wireless). I tested a download speed of 6876 kpbs and 494 kbps upload speed. Recently I've noticed at various times a download of YouTube videos play as if on a very slow connection. I have 2 PCs that produce the same results. The video loads, then plays a portion of the video, then pauses as it downloads more of the video and repeats this. Other times the same video plays as expected. Any ideas?
 
That was not required when I've viewed many videos in the past and even now most play normal. Some videos play OK one time then download then pause to download and play more, etc. I'm beginning to believe the problem lies at the YouTube end.

That happens when the video's playback speed (kb/s) is higher than the download rate.
For example if the video downloads with a 30 kb/s rate and it plays at a 40kb/s rate, than you will sure have to pause it until it downloads.
 
I have a similar problem, I run a music video site http://www.divineclips.com but sometimes the videos run fine and sometimes I can't even see the thumbnails on my site! I am not sure if it is something that is missing from my pc or youtube? can anyone else see this problem as I am planning to do an overhaul on this site but if people can't see images there really is no point!
