error 0x80070057 whilst trying to format hdd

Hi, got this error when trying to format my hdd, so i can install windows 7.

Only one partition, which seems to not work, it also says there isn't enough memory(therE are over 400GB) though i'm sure there still some vista files there, how do i take care of this error?

Won't i risk not being able to find the hdd though?

No. Your computer will still see the hard drive. You just won't have any partitions after deleting the one on there. Unless you have data on there you want, it's no loss.
