Error #45 CRC error in data

I'm trying to redo a Compaq laptop computer for a friend. I really don't care about keeping any data that's in the computer so formatting is ok. The problem is when I try to put the Compaq QuickRestore Disks in, on the 4th (the last disk) it gets all the way up to 100% the the "entire progress" bar and shoots from 15% to 100% on the "checking current integrity" bar. Once it does that it shoots up the message "error #45 CRC error in data". What to do or what's wrong? Is the HD messed up or just the disks. The computer is a Compaq Presairo R3000.

try to look for options on f11 when starting i dont know if it supports pc recovery however check if it is embeded use system recovery on advance options if not you can try manually formatting your hard drive using disk manager ususally windows installer has a diskmanager that can format a drive....
