Error at user log in XP Pro

At start up I come up with the Error:
A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license for this computer. Error code 0x80004005.
How does one fix it.

When was your last install..........is the cd key valid.........is the system up-to-date?

also is it only on one user you get the error?
