When I attempt to run the setup for the update I get this error:
Error Code: -5006 : 0x80070002
Error Information:
>SetupNew\setup.cpp (615)
PAPP:TP-LINK Wireless Adapter Installation Program
PVENDOR:TP-LINK (http://www.TP-LINK.com)
PGUID:86A7EED0-02D0-4D91-8183-8D2F23F5E6AE
$14.0.0.162PAK
@Windows Vista Service Pack 0(7600) Non IE/Netscape 38096.68

Unsure why it runs a vista variant of the setup as the machine clearly runs 7 but that's a minor thing I guess, main issue is that it doesn't install and instead crashes.

Help appreciated as the drivers are to fix a bsod error the wireless adapter can cause.

What is the exact model number of wireless adapter you have?

And you said that the driver update fixes a blue screen issue that the adapter may have. So if it hasn't happened yet then I wouldn't worry about it right now. But I can definately get you the updated driver when you give the exact model number of the adapter.

Actually the reason I know the bsod issues exists is because I got the bsod it is related to athurx.sys, the model is TL-WN722N.

Click on this link from Microsoft, http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9830262 - it will fix the issue for you.

And that link was of no help at all, it ran said it fixed some stuff then the same error shows again.
