Error Message comes up at start up winxp. error for AVG.

Hey guys,
I have this error coming up at start up. And when i go to open AVG. @ least I think its for AVG :(
What can i do? I have tried to uninstall and reinstall but didn't fix the prob.

Tried reinstalling avg? Sounds like something is wrong there also try doing a chkdsk/r on your system if you need instructions feel free to ask..

OK, just ran chkdsk didn't help... yup i have reinstalled it... Any ideas? Shouldn't when you uninstall something, shouldn't it get rid of anything to do with the program? Then a fresh install should replace old files?

In some cases... yes. But many things could be happening.

If you are using XP, do a restore point. Let's see if whatever you installed prior to when the issue happened will fix itself. By the look of the error, it appears to be something in windows. A "DLL" file is not valid from an image from the diskette.

Try that!?:confused:
