At any time when I am using my computer , the hard drive usually produces the sound it produces when the computer reboots. This is usually followed by a blank screen, then a blue error message. I have tried running AOL spyware software and it doesn't pick up anything, the same thing with my anit-Virus. I am not sure what to do to solve this. Can any one help me...

My computer isn't all that old. I got it a year ago, AMD Sempron 2.4 GHz, 512Mb
RAM, 80GB HD, DVD ROM and a multi-burner. I use my computer for everyday stuff, surfing the internet, watching DVD's etc. How do you know when a cooling
fan in going???? does it make a lot of noise????

I would replace that hard drive ASAP. If it is still under warranty (the computer or just the drive) get it replaced that way.

Anytime a harddrive makes noises it s not so good, and if it does it randomly and crashes your computer at the same time, you are headed for trouble.

Back up important files and replace it.

Yeah the fan is spinning, however I noticed that if I use the AOL browser the comuputer doesn't crash. If I used internet explorer, netscape or firefox it crashes in minutes...
