whenever i try to start up my main computer, i get an error message that says page_fault_in_nonpaged_area or bad_pool_header. I dont have any backup disks, just the windows vista install disk. I have no clue what to do, and any help would be appreciated (i do have windows XP install disks and stuff as well, if that could help in any way.) thanks.

What about Safe Mode?
You can check if it is RAM fault. If you have two RAM chips remove one and startup comp. If still the same remove the other one and insert the first one. If still the same put both back in.
But first check the Safe Mode.

Did you get that in BSOD form, the last time i got a bad pool caller it was on shutdown as a BSOD but resolved itself on startup, I'm pretty sure it has something to do with hardware not being connected properly, i.e. RAM chips, as subtle previously mentioned
