Error when sending E-mails:SMTP prob.

I get this message then I try and sent mail.(Mozzila Thunderbird) Its not just this server(neo-nets) its every other one i have tryed too(gmail is one) Can anyone help me?
This is the exact message I get:

Sending of message failed.

The message could not be sent becuase connecting to the SMTP server mail.ne0-net.com failed. The server may be unavailible or refusing STMP connections. Please vertify that your SMTP server setting is correct and try again, or else contact your nextwork administrator

check your pop3 settings, it may require spa connection authorization, or a certain port for the server.. It would be listed under pop3 settings on the website..

What if on one of them, its on a server im paying for, any website is just what i put on...

Maybe your ISP blocks connections to port 25 on servers other than their own mail server...?

Gmail uses port 527 though. And I'm on COX and I know other people who use it.

This sucks, I'm running a website now(not finished with it and I have to use a Yahoo adress...or a gmail with their webcrap. I wanted to use my domain...nooo.....
