eSATA Issue

Ok so I have a Seagate FreeAgent XTreme external hard drive. USB works perfectly fine, but when I use eSATA, my PC says "Found New Hardware: FreeAgent XTreme" and that's it. It doesn't show up in My Computer.

Any help on this?

That is strange... Does it show up in Computer Management?

I've heard those can be rather quirky. I know some of the FreeAgents essentially ran the USB and eSATA ports on the same bus, thus you got about 33MB/s speeds on either.

It does indeed show up in Computer Management. It does not show up in My Computer and Seagate Manager doesn't recognize it either.

Hmm... In computer management, try right clicking on the partition you want to use (or only one) and click "assign drive letter", or something like that.

It already has a drive letter from when I was using USB with it. Should I reassign it a letter?

UPDATE: I got it to show up in My Computer, but still won't show up in Seagate Manager.
