could someone explain this to me? someone once said its a faster than usb or something? and secondly well i geuss firstly...is this a transfer type thing n then secondly are there like cards which u can buy that have eSATA slots? cuz i remember once i bought a usb slot card cuz i needed em... thx

The only good thing about eSATA is that can "daisy-chain" them or link them together. I built some external HDDs for my biz and used an enclosure that allowed me to link them together with eSATA. I really can't tell a performance increase over my USB Western Digital My Book 500Gb. Yeah, my desktop PC has about three of those HD's linked off the back of it.

usually a pci express controller card.....

as said above, it's best useage is sort of a replacement for SCSI, you can build an external tower with, say, 20 dvd-rw drives, and write a disc onto all of them at the same time.
