Ethernet cable

I'm looking to buy a ethernet cable on newegg and I'm pretty sure they are all the same? or are some better, faster or w/e etc. I plan on buying a 50-100ft cable to connect to my router which is in the living room from my room which is pretty far. I plan on wiring the cable on top of the walls where no one really sees it. The thing is, I was thinking about nailing the wire but that would put holes in the walls. And I was thinking about duct tape and was wondering over a long period of time, wouldn't it ripe the paint when I take the duct tape off?

So if you guys could help me decide on the cable or if it doesn't matter I plan on getting probably this

And maybe help me decide either what tape to use or if there is any other clean method. I used a USB adapter but I kinda lag when I don't get good signal so yeah, it came down to this. Thanks in advance.

That should be fine, as far as the cable. I would nail the cable not only because of the holes in the wall, but also in the cable itself. 3M "Command Hooks" can be used to hang the cables or several different types of hooks that can be used to hang the cable. I mention these specifically because you can remove the adhesive used on the hooks easily without damaging the paint or drywall in the room.
