Hi!
a little time ago I formatted a desktop computer. I installed Windows XP and from what I've read everything basic should be working. But when I plug my cabel for internet, the computer is not connected. The little light of de netwerk adapter is on, so the cable is recognized I suppose.
In the device manager there is a driver installed for the Network adapter, but non driver for the Ehternet Controller. On the cd of the mainboard there is a driver for the Ethernet Controller but the computer does not find it even if I point it myself as the driver it does not see it as the right driver for the Ethernet Controller. A strange fact: the instructions/options on the cd-rom for installing the driver on an XP(read me file) is slightly different then the possibilities I get.
If I try to use the drivers I find on the internet(usb from another computer). It does not install either.
The motherboard is a K7S5A.
If anyone can help me with this?
Greetings
Dieter
