Hi I'm new, I'd like to know what is ethernet emulation is for anyway. I used a sonny erricson phone and connected it to my computer by USB cable. Ethernet emulation, what's it for. I can see my phone charging but what about the internet rates?? Thanks, please let me know what it is. Thank you.

Your internet speed would basically be tied to your 3g reception/speed, or grps or whatever signal you are getting. If you are on prepaid it will use your credit or data, if you're on a plan or bill or whatever, you'll see it on that. Find out what your provider charges for internet tethering.
