Ethernet-to-Wireless Bridge Help

Hello everyone,

I have a Linksys Wireless B Bridge WET11, and i can't figure something out.

Here is a little background on my situation: I live in an apartment with a couple roommates. We have internet, but of course they (the isp provider) put the modem in the worst possible spot... My roommates are having no issue connecting to our wireless router with their laptops and built in wireless cards. Unfortunately i only have a desktop that doesn't contain a wireless card. I do however have the lynksys bridge at my disposal.

Problem:

I plugged the bridge into my computer and set it to the correct ethernet-to-wireless mode, and alas, i had internet. However, it wasn't my internet... it was automatically stealing internet from my neighbors unsecured network... I can't seem to figure out how to display all available networks, and actually select the network i want to connect to. Is there anyway that i can select the network to connect to?

Any help would be much appreciated

You have to go into the settings and change it. The defalt ip address is 192.168.1.225 Try puting that into interent explorer and it should come up with a page that lets you change the settings. If not, try downloading the setup utility at http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/support/WET11/download and then you should be able to connect to your wireless. (you may have to reset the box by holding the reset button for about 10-20 sec)

Hmm, well maybe it just couldn't find the network. The first thing i did was log into the settings page, and it only showed my neighbors internet as being available. I just did a manual set up though, and it's working now on my internet. It's not a very strong signal though... I must have a lot of interference between me and the router. Thanks for your suggestion Brian.
