Ethernet to wireless

Hi,
At university to connect to the Internet I have one Ethernet port in the wall. I was wondering if there is some sort of adaptor I could buy to turn this port into a wireless network in my room so I can connect all my devices to the Internet wirelessly?

If so is there any in particular anyone would recommend?

Any help greatly appreciated :)

If the port in your wall is indeed a RJ-45 (Ethernet) port (that makes sense at university or college) then you would just need to get a wireless router and plug into RJ-45 port. Not quite sure on the best out now days though
I would just look for a decent "linksys", they always have reliable switches and routers

Yeah, you're looking for a router. Although who knows how easy it will be to configure. I've lived at two different universities and it was a bear to get a wireless router working well.

like TeKmaster and Voyagerfan99 said you need a router to plug in to get wireless or if the devices are wired you could use a switch

You need a router before you use a switch. A switch by itself without a router is no good.
