Everything Look Ok?

Case - Still deciding on a case
Power Supply - PC Power & Cooling 750W Silencer (Got for free from a friend)
Processor - Core 2 Q6600 - OEM (Planning to overclock to about 3.0 - 3.3 ghz)
Processor Heatsink - Zalman CNPS9700
Motherboard - ABIT IP35 Pro or ASUS Maximus Formula
RAM - G.SKILL 4GB (2x2) DDR2 1000
Video Card - EVGA 8800GTS (G92) or EVGA 8800GT
Hard Drive - Western Digital Caviar GP 1 TB - OEM
Optical Drive - Samsung SH-S203B
SATA Cable (for the processor, hard drive, etc) - Generic 18" 2-Head SATA Cable

Does everything look alright, and am I missing any cables, components, etc? I'm hoping that this build will last about 5 years, with maybe a processor upgrade a few years down the line.

Your motherboard will probably come with at least two SATA cables. And I'd stay away from that Abit board, unless they've fixed the stupid power cycling issue.

Actually the IP35 Pro seems to be a great overclocking board.

The G92 GTS is nice, but if your getting nvidia, it would be pointless to get the X38. Go for the P35 and save some money. I'd go for the P35 DS3R.

Well in about 5 years I'll probably build another rig to replace this one. This current build is meant to replace my 6 year old computer.

By the way, can someone explain to me or give me a link to a tutorial that shows me how to update drivers for the video card, motherboard, etc? I've never done that before.

Very likely, but it's still a huge bitch for double-booting the way it does.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to finally upgrading. By the way, what tools should I have handy for building a comp? I know an anti-static wristband and screwdrivers are a good idea, but anything else?

I just built my computer this weekend, and I didn't have a tiny philips head screwdriver for the base of my heatsink. I had to improvise with a knife. So, make sure you have all the right screwdrivers. Also, I had a glove so I could smooth the thermal paste on the cpu. Make sure you have a soft, sturdy place (i used my bed) to set your case when you're doing the build, so you don't scratch up the sides or drop it.
