im thinking of going with this as my mobo. its in my price range, from a reputable company, and has been well received by critics. the only thing im somewhat hesitant about is the lack of a heatsink on the southbridge. i wont be OCing the board but it will be going inside of an emachines case (dont ask) with very basic cooling. this mobo will be coupled with this CPU. im running a radeon 300se, which is a pretty basic card, and 3.5gigs of 4200 ddr2. will overheating likely be an issue?

Southbridges usually don't get hot enough to warrant a heatsink. If the manufacturer had thought that there was even the slightest chance of overheating, they would have put one on.
