EVGA 680i SE SLI problem

I just recently put my new system together, when I went to start it up...it would boot and like 1 minute later it crashes. I am sure I plug everything in right and I have a decent power supply powering the system as well. I tried clearing the CMOS many times and still got this problem. I thought it might have been a bad RAM but no. I tried 1 stick with every single slot. I even went out to Fry's to get a slower speed RAM. I thought my MOBO wasnt compatible with PC8500 RAM. Here is the specs:

EVGA 680i SE SLI
Q6600
OCZ SLI Ready PC8500 2Gig
650W CoolerMaster Real Power Pro PSU
EVGA 6800Ultra GPU

Could it be a bad MOBO or did I do something wrong?

If I installed the SATA HD in the wrong order, could it have caused that? My OS was on SATA 1 and I put that on SATA 2. And also, what it be worth it to return it and get the higher end EVGA board? The SE is only good to OC the E series. It doesnt OC the Quads well.
