Evga 7900 GT KO...is it being replaced, prices on used going down...

I need another of these cards so that I can go sli.
Have heard that it is being replaced by a faster card soon,
and that maybe the prices on used or new will go down.

Anyone have any info on this ?
Maybe in a month or two they will be $100 used ?
 
Regardless if it's being replaced as the best card by another, better card (8800 series), it's still going to cost a pretty penny to buy another because it still considred a top-of-the-line card.....

Reconsider about going SLi because, in many people's opinions, is over-rated....

Another thing to consider is that DirectX 10 is coming out pretty soon and DirectX 10 compatible cards along with it.... My suggestion is to wait and sell that card and buy a Directx 10 Card when they come out.....

Everything is over rated.
SLI seems like it would be interesting and fun and faster.
That's good enough for me.
Bought the first card at newegg for $259 about a mo. ago.
Sure would like to save a few bucks on the second one.
Prices are never static, especially re. comp. equip.
They start out big, then they drop off of the end of the table.
I think you can buy the Hubble telescope for about $30 right now.

If you're a hardcore enough gamer to want SLi, then you would probably want something that has DX10 compatibility...... Probably, with in a year, DX10 cards are slowly going to become mainstream.....
