Hi, I just build a new system about 2 months ago. I am running windows 7 on it. Basically, I am not a complete noob. But i am unfamiliar with the bios when i go into it. I am also unfamiliar with how the SLI mode works and what way i can get the most of my two gpus. I OCed my CPU ( dummy OC ) (q8200) 2.33 ghz to 2.45 ghz... anything over that my pc sort of shuts down. Actually i got it to run at 2.8 ghz for about 10 minutes, but then it crashed, however, i couldnt get it to run at 2.57 or 2.68 ghz. Basically i am a compelte noob to OCing graphics cards, cpus, and the best way to take full advantage of SLI mode. Also what is raid and since i have two hard drives is there anything i should know that might beef up the performance of my PC.
Here is my build:
EVGA 790i SLI FTW
Intel Q8200 Quad Core 2.33 ghz
2x EVGA 9800 GTX+
2x WD 500GB 32 cache
850W Corsair PSU
6 GB Kingston DDR3 1333 Memory
Pioneer DVD Burner
CoolerMaster CPU Fan
CoolerMaster Case 680 i think... the nvidia one that lights up green
