I have a user that is getting a disk is full error when she tries to save excel files on her computer.

Office 2007
Win Xp
100+GB free
average file size of excel doc... 60KB
saving locally not to a network drive.

my searches for this problem either refer to the disk being full...(obviously) and network drive issues. Neither apply.

I rebooted the thing and it started to work.... ¿¿¿???

I was going to try a malwarebytes or something if it happens again. strange...

i turned my keyboard upsidedown.

kidding hold alt and press 1 6 8 on the number pad.

:D
That gives me ↕ and I don't know what happened but IE's address/toolbar at the top of the page disappears automatically now unless I curse over it. Must have Alt something by mistake :o

As for the office thing, save a new document. Save as, rename it something different. I have seen that bug on every version of office and on both Windows and Mac platforms. I think it has to do with the auto recovery feature of office and the actual file gets corrupted so it thinks that there is no free disk space because it is writing to a copy of itself via office document recovery tools.

after the reboot she hasnt had any problems. Im standing guard.
