Excel Question

I was sent an excel spreadsheet. I would like to copy and paste some of the information, however the copy function and many other functions are disabled on the spreadsheet. Is there anything I can do to enable the functions of the spreadsheet? Thank you.

Am I allowed to answer this? Is it against the rules?

It depends on what has been done to the spreadsheet (sounds like simple protection) and what version of Excel it is.

Try selecting the whole sheet (use top left hand corner where A and 1 meet) and copy the sheet and paste to another sheet. The protection won't be copied with it.

If that doesn't work, then there are ways and means of removing worksheet protection, but I probably shouldn't be discussing them here.
