Exchange Server 2003 Not Connecting

Hi,

We have exchange 2003 as part of our server set up and recently its been playing up, basically no emails have been coming though to the user accounts and our IT support people have been trying to fix the problem for 8 days now,

today we have had a development, it turns out that a recent windows update has caused this issue and its been well documented, does this sound like the truth or is this a load of bull poop!!

any advise would be appreciated as we are loosing the will to live.

Could be true but sounds like your IT need a lot of work.. YOU NEVER PATCH PRODUCTION FIRST! sounds like they simply applied all of the updates to the exchange server.. also sounds like they do not have a wsus in place.. if they had just done updates the night before using a wsus i would have just rolled them back in the wsus first and seen if that fixed it... need a good consultant your it seems to need some help i'm available lol :-)
