Experience with Acer Aspire Switch

It seems the screen can be detached and turned around so you can use it like a tablet. My questions is . . .

1. How sturdy is the removable screen with attached to the keyboard body? It is well built to last a few years of usage like this?

2. Do you have to have the keyboard part attached when you want to use it as a tablet (is the CPU with the screen, or with the keyboard part)?

Thanks.

Went to Costco and saw one on display. New lower price to $270.

The screen connection is pretty smart and sturdy. The magnet "sucks" the screen to the keyboard and it is quite solid. The processor is on the screen so you can use the screen as the tablet without the keyboard.

It is definitely a much cheaper alternative to the MS Surface.

But the 2gb ram and 32gb drive makes it quite limited.
