Have you guys ever heard of the Deep / Dark web before? I would like to ask something out of curiosity. It seems that you need a special browser such as Tor in order to visit websites with the .onion domain. Now, let's say you buy something using Bitcoins, that item needs to get delivered to you.

In order to get the item delivered to you, you will need to give them your real residential address. Therefore, wouldn't you get caught or even worse if they send something illegal such as gun etc. wouldn't that package be scanned on its arrival to the destination? Can someone perhaps shed some more light on this as I'm curious about it?

There is always a risk buying illegal stuff online. (or in general)
The stores on the deep web send illegal stuff in disguise as other products. (they usually also claim that it's 100% undetectable, but that's not true. They are laying)
You can't be 100% safe. It can be a good idea to send the package to your work. That way if the police gets involved, they don't know what employee they should arrest.

Hope you are not planing on doing anything illegal :p

What are you going to do? Have it delivered addressed to someone else? They'll figure it out.

This ofcause depends on how well you have access to the packages the workplace gets.
In my case i could easily just walk in and grab my package.
