Exporting pictures from slide shows

I need a little bit of help with this.. A few days ago I had a few professional pictures taken and yesterday I got to see them before they were made and payed for half of the cost up front. After paying for half, the company gives you a cd with a slide show .exe file on it with all photos taken during your session to show to your friends, family, etc. Now as soon as they gave me this, I thought to myself that i was going to be able to rip the pictures off this cd and have them sooner than planned, which was atleast another month for them to come in. They also claim that the .exe file will expire within a few weeks, how ever that works I have no idea...

Problem is, I have no idea how to pull the pictures from the slide show and save them as individual pictures. I am even thinking it may be impossible... but I haven't gave up yet.. I've tried a few slide show making programs to see if any would let me rip the pictures from the shows but with no success.

Anyone point me in the right direction of doing this, if even possible?

It just plays the show, no other viewer is required because it runs on its own. Nothing is extracted.

It seems to me this company does not want you to have access to the electronic copies of the photographs.

Since you say that the viewer will expire in a few weeks and that you can only view the pictures in the viewer they provided you, isnt it logical to take the next step that this company does not want you to be able to reproduce the images and that ripping them from the cd or viewer would break whatever agreement you have with that company?

Try to open that file in Powerpoint if it does not work then you have a simple option.
Run the exe slideshow file
while it is running the picture you want to save just press Alt+Print Scr.
Open Paintbrush/Photoshop and press Cntl+V it will paste that picture
You can now save it.

Hope you like the idea.

No agreement was made ever, but of course im sure they dont want any copies being made. Not like I can't just scan and make them myself once they actually come in. And it isn't like im not going to pay the rest of the balance once I figure this out, they are still getting my money. Im only wanting them sooner.

I already tried the print screen thing, dialog box comes up saying 'current presentation author doesn't allow copying of graphical information' when I try it.. figures!

Its called intellectual property. As soon as someone makes something creative they have a copyright on it. You must get the photography company's permission to make copies of their photographs unless it specifically says otherwise in whatever contract you did sign. As for the preview disk, its just that, a preview and copies should not be made from it

Well, there is your answer. The author (company) does not want you making copies, period.
