hey guys. I made my own ext. hard drive and now I need to get it to work. It's getting power and my computer recognizes it but it doesn't show up in My Computer. Do I have to format it? If I do, how?
 
Try going into the control panel and administrative tools and go into compuer management click on disk management and see if its there and if it is try to assign it a drive letter and if that doesnt work then reformat it using the disk manager.
